From a small office in Konstanz to international showcases in Madrid

Scannery’s first year has been a whirlwind of partnerships, research, and successful financing. Here’s the story so far.

From Konstanz to Madrid: The Story of Scannery’s First Year

Every company has a beginning, but some journeys compress years of ambition and momentum into just a few months. Scannery’s story is one of those intense, defining starts. What began as a small team in Konstanz has already unfolded into international presentations, research grants, partnerships, and successful crowdfunding. Here’s how it happened.

March: The Start in Konstanz

On March 1, Scannery officially opened its doors in Konstanz. The idea was simple but powerful: to build technology that makes sizing and fitting smarter, more sustainable, and more personal. Starting in a modest office, the team combined entrepreneurial drive with deep technical expertise in 3D scanning and AI.

Early March: A Partnership with Vitronic

Only two days later, on March 3, Scannery formed a cooperation with Vitronic, a leading technology provider in imaging and body scanning systems. This partnership became a cornerstone for what would follow, ensuring that the technology could reach the next level of industrial relevance and precision.

May: The BodyLoop in Madrid

On May 5, the Scannery team took their innovation onto an international stage: the presentation of the BodyLoop in Madrid. Standing in front of industry experts and partners, they showcased not just a prototype, but a vision for how fashion retail and beyond could work differently. The reception was clear: the market was ready for change.

Summer: Crowdinvesting and Research Success

Right after Madrid, Scannery launched its Companisto crowdinvesting campaign. For a young company, access to capital is not just fuel - it’s validation. Within weeks, hundreds of investors backed the idea. By July, the campaign closed successfully with €438,000 raised.

But money wasn’t the only win that summer. In June, Scannery secured funding for ZIM research on urban mass customization, a project aimed at making individualized fashion accessible at scale. In August, another success followed: DATIpilot funding with TU Clausthal to push virtual try-on technology. Each milestone strengthened Scannery’s position at the intersection of fashion, research, and deep tech.

Building Networks: The DMIx Cooperation

By late summer, Scannery entered a cooperation with DMIx, a platform pioneering digital material workflows. Again supported by ZIM funding, this collaboration expanded Scannery’s impact from body scanning to integration into the wider fashion production pipeline.

Today: Preparing the First Product

All these steps have led to the current focus: building Scannery’s first product. After a whirlwind of presentations, partnerships, and funding wins, the team is now turning research and prototypes into something tangible for the market.

A Year That Set the Tone

Looking back, the first months of Scannery’s existence read like a startup’s highlight reel: a fast launch, strategic partnerships, international showcases, successful financing, and strong research support. But for the team, this is just the prologue.

The journey from Konstanz to Madrid, from the first investor pitch to building the first product, reflects not only Scannery’s pace but also its purpose: to make the future of fashion fit better - for people, for businesses, and for the planet.
